Our Herbal Selection
 

We are now offering you the chance to make your own tea station at home by purchasing your herbs and tea station holder and buckets directly from us. Our herbs are sold in 100g bags this should last you 1 week depending on your herd size (refreshed 2-3 times per week) so you can see if your horses need that specific herb without purchasing a 1kg bag straight away. If you add to much herbs your horses will only drink a little at a time, if you don't add enough they will clear the bucket very quickly. Let them tell you the amount they need. Our herd like 2x 20ml scoops per bucket but its all trial and error. We are also offering herbal packs so if your horse or pony has a specific issue eg respiratory, ulcers, hoof health, cushings etc we can supply a mix of herbs that we have found has helped our herd. 

Our self-selection horse tea is one of our post popular and most talked about enrichments on our track. We select a variety of herbs and add them to water and allow them to infuse (if it hangs around long enough). The horses then have free access to this 24/7. We top it up several times per day and the herbs are refreshed every 2-3 days depending on the weather.

We assess which herbs to offer by simply observing the herd. If one has a cough or is prone to ulcers or is transitioning to barefoot, has arthritis or just for general health and wellbeing then we can support them by offering up different herbs in the water at any specific time. We even allow our horses to self worm through our water buckets and the results we have had have been astonishing. We haven't needed to worm most of them for over 2yrs now as they do it themselves
